AIR BALTIC CORPORATION (airBaltic) is the largest airline in Baltic States, established in 1995. The primary shareholders are the Latvian state, with 52.6% of stock, and SIA Baltijas aviācijas sistēmas, with 47.2% of stock. The airBaltic fleet consists of 28 aircraft – ten Boeing 737-500, six Boeing 737-300, two Boeing 757-200, and ten Fokker 50 airplanes. "airBaltic" offers nonstop flights from three Lithuanian airports – Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga. From Riga "airBaltic" serves more than 50 destinations to Eastern and Western Europe. The airline also operates direct flights between Kaliningrad and Copenhagen. In 2008, airBaltic carried almost 2.7 million passengers.
